This is a really great place to go and play poker. There are many different types of tourneys and the staff is very nice. and of course it’s for a good cause
Playing in Dice’s tournaments are always fun. I will say that the venue is horrible. For about three weeks straight, whenever you bought a drink, there were gnats going to the drink, landing in it. Definitely a lot funner when four days a week.
overall, i like the club, but i have one gripe/recommendation: the blinds start too high ($100/200) in the tourneys, which makes your starting stack not nearly as deep as it seems when you see that you start a tourney with 10k chips. advertising the tourneys as deep stack when you only start with 50 big blinds is kinda misleading. other than that, i like the club and am glad there’s finally legal poker closer to toledo than the detroit casinos. the staff is friendly and know how to do their jobs, and the atmosphere is professional but still laid back. thanks and keep up the good work guys!
just some clearing up with your gripe….are deepstack starts with 15k, our blinds do start 100/200 but move up slow, not doubling everytime like other places. we really cant make them move any slow or start off smaller. the tournys usually last 5 to 5 1/2 hrs which seems to be the max most players want to play for in a tourny.
possible starting stacks
mon= 9k
tues= 13k
weds=omaha but 9k
thurs= 16k
fri= 15k
sat= 20k (25 min blinds)
sun= 9k
are real “deepstack” tourny the first sunday of every month is
dec 6th $100buyin
25k with 25min blinds
Chad,
Thanks for stopping by and giving input on your tournaments. I agree with the fact that you have to be careful with structures so the tournament does not run too long (6 + hours) and at the same time give people enough chips to have some play time.
GREAT PLACE TO PLAY. IT’S A SAFE PLACE FOR WOMEN TO PLAY WITH SOMEONE TO WALK YOU OUT IF YOUR ALONE. ALSO THE STAFF TREAT WOMEN FAIRLY. WHICH IS NOT TRUE OF ANOTHER POKER ROOM IN THE AREA. LOTS OF DIFFERENT LEVELS OF TOURNAMENTS SO PLAYERS CAN AFFORD TO PLAY BASED ON THEIR BUDGETS. THE NEW OMAHA TOURNAMENT ON WEDNESDAYS IS NICE WITH A LOW LIMIT BUY IN SO PEOPLE CAN TRY THE GAME WITHOUT SPENDING A LOT. DICE & CHAD ALWAYS WORK HARD TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT TIME AND ARE ALWAYS TRYING DIFFERENT EVENTS TO ADD VARIETY. EVEN OFFERING FREE FOOD ON A COUPLE OF WEEK NIGHTS. IF YOU HAVEN’T TRIED DICE CHARITY POKER AT THE LEGACY GOLF COURSE YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOUR MISSING.
just a matter of time till he went out of business
I wounder if this is the Dave I know. This was the best place in the area.
Full bar, food, and packed with players. What more could you want?
Oh maybe to win, but that takes skill. I’m “betting” by your comment
you lack that.
Brian.
Best Poker Room in the area BY FAR!!! Friendly staff, dealers that KNOW what they are doing, and great tournaments!! Alot of action in the cash games, especially the Omaha Hi-Lo game on Mondays!!! Wouldn’t play anywhere else, especially “Down the Road”
