THIS PLACE IS A DUMP!!!!!!!!!! BOUGHT IN TO TOURNMENT….DEALER DOESN’T EVEN KNOW HOW TO DEAL HOLD’EM…………….TOOK HIM 3 TRIES FIRST HAND TO DEAL IT RIGHT!!! JERK-OFF AT DOOR HAS NO BALLS!!!!! CAN’T EVEN TALK ABOUT HOW THERE WHERE WRONG. NEVER EVER EVER GO BACK!!!!!

Just wanted to give an update. Their is always action everyday.Their’s always 2 to 3 cash games going all day long. They always have tournments every day with awsome turn outs. On every monday and thrusday their is FREE SURF AND TURF DINNER TO ALL PLAYERS!!!
tried…wouldn’t even talk too me…told me too get out….I was mad. then i calmed down and he still wouldn’t talk too me…would rather insult me than talk.
Oh yes. the owner or manager Rick is quite a smart alec. He tells people to f off and get out. He is a very unlikeable guy. I will never go again.
I have played at Bennys about 5 times since the middle of November. (tournments only) Always a fun time, the facility is clean, dealers are capable and the tourneys are will run. Cliential, for the most part, are good sports. Well worth a visit.
In reply to J.S.—–I was there that night, in fact I was sitting at the same table. You my friend were completly out of line, screaming at the dealer and making a total Ass of yourself. You got up and stormed back and forth while using fowl and dirty language. The dealers error was no big deal and NO ONE else had a problem with the game.
Played in the $1.00 buy-in tourney this evening. Tourney was will organized and ran smooth given the high number of players. I was knocked out and decided to play in one of the two cash games in progress. Cash game was terrible!. There was one person at our table that requested a seat at the end of the table so he could plug his lap top in and played online poker while in the cash game. Two other players were talking and texting on cell phones. These three people had to reminded that it was thier turn to bet/post etc. The dealers and management didn;t seem to mind, as they appeared to “know” the individuals, calling them by thier first names. Then came the big suprize, a gentleman sat down and engaged in a conversation with one of the players and was NOT playing in the game. Some RULES must be established and enforced. Thank you

One of the worst rooms I have ever played in. The dealer over raked my pot (same as stealing) and when I confronted him, he tried to force action for the next hand. When I called the floor, he made the dealer give me my $5 back and than told me he would talk to him about it. I tried them again 2 days later and THE SAME THING HAPPENED!!!! with another dealer!!! They can barely keep 1 cash game running. No food, no drinks. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!
I can’t drink here WHY ARE YOU EVEN OPEN????? OK maybe I want to take avantage of drunk players sometimes and sometimes maybe I get drunk too..either way I can not do either at this place. Plus the old guy with the grey hair was a jerk to my girlfriend so we both waited to play for about 45 minutes and then realized we could not drink, so we just got up and left.
They said Benny is a really cool kid and used to hang out there, I hope he does not turn out like his dad or grandfather, whoever that idiot is running the place
POKER HALL IS THE NICEST AROUND!! PROMBLEM IS RICK LIVES UP TO HIS NAME RICHARD OR I PREFER DICK!! PLAY IN ALOT OF POKER ROOMS DAILY AND THE PROMBLEM WITH BENNYS IS DICK!! DONT GET ME WRONG I LIKE ALL OF THE STAFF EXCEPT HIM AND SOMETIMES IF I DO PLAY THERE IT MOSTLY IS WHEN DICK ISNT THERE!! SO IF YOU GO THERE ASK IF DICK OR RICK IS THERE IF HE ISNT STAY IF HE IS THAN PASS!! I DONT KNOW IF HES THE MANAGER OR OWNER BUT DO US ALL A FAVOR DICK AND LEAVE!!!
Played a few weeks ago. There was food available as well as beverages. It’s nice inside and no smoking. I hate smoke. It’s good to play somewhere without worrying about a drunk getting irate. The staff was really nice. I haven’t met this Richard guy yet so I can’t speak to that but the do seem to keep a lock down on texting at the table. If they don’t I certainly am not afraid to speak up either. Overall a good experince and I will go back.
BigWinner must be related to the people who run the joint cuz nobody in their right mind would continue going to this place.
Wow..Seems like we have a lot of mixed feelings on this room. Like I stated at the top of this page Benny’s contacted us and wanted all their information about the room removed. I removed all of their information but felt leaving the comments here for everyone to see would be good. I have been contacted a second time by Benny’s and they want all of these comments removed also, I have no interest in doing that.
Now that I read all these comments, some good, some bad, some real bad, I’m not sure what to think, so I guess I will have to make some time and take a road trip to Benny’s for some poker time and see for my self what this room is all about and give my input.
I have been to Benny’s three different times to play in tournaments that they have posted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, and 7:00 pm on Friday night. There were never enough players to get a tourney going. I will never go back as it is a waste of time.
Try goin on a Monday night after 8 pm. They got a huge omaha game that I heard gets over 30 grand on the table by the end of the night. Dont ask me how seeing as how each charity can only sell 15K in chips but they wont even let anybody else play in that game which is a joke. I got money!!
The problem with the drinks is they have a kid running that part of it. He is never there to sell the drinks that are way over priced. $2 for a bottle of water. The kid is on the floor most of the time or playing cards. As far as the one complaining about the high stakes Omaha I have never seen them tell anyone that if they had the buy in they couldn’t play. Hopefully when they get there liquor license and the restaurant opens then it will be a better place to play.

i work at the little Caesars in the complex bennys is in, i have yet to play there but i talked to the owner , we call him every night to ask his players if he would like us to bring refreshments and pizza to the players for a low price and he tell us no all the time and just hangs up on us.. he is a complete ***hole and i probably will never play there just because of his rudeness !!
They get Pizza from Olivers, which is much better pizza that you have, sorry
I have played there three or four times never that big of a game. One time me and 6of my fellow co workers went there to play in there big tourny (lol) we ended up being half there crowed. The tourny was by far the worst ran tourny I have ever played in there were 11 players and one busted out right away and we ask if they would combine tables and the td said no because she had someone call and say they were coming???? 45 minutes later they arrive and it’s her friends so we played 5 handed for 45min for her friends to come and donk there chips off in10 min. Then we where going to play in the big cash game they have upstairs wich we seen chip runners bringing people $500 every ten min so of course we wanted some of that action and we where told no!!!! Like we were not good enough to play in that game???? So yet to not blow a complete night we sat at a cash table and it broke ten minutes later and had to wait to get on the next one were I won $300 in 20 min. And cought the dealer over raking 3 times and nuthin was done about that. I was told by a dealer that works there that they are told to over rake pots that r big. One time I seen him take $18.00 out of a $75.00 pot!!!! The place looks nice but I willnever go back there as long as I live!!!!!!!! I’m kinda glad I read that I wad not the only perso that was treated bad.
My name is Pat and i am a floor manager at sunnybrook, now i play at many othe rpoker roomother than my own, and i never, ever down talk the rooms i play in untill now… i used to go to play at bennys once or twice a week for a while, but the last time i was there, i saw the dealer rake $11 out of 3 seperate pots when they clearly state $6 max rake and also over rake a fewq minor pots, i got up from the table, cashed out and then tlked to one off the managers who then tried to tell me that maybe the dealer was making change or something like that… i am never ever going back and i make sure that i tell everyone i meet also… i made sure to let everyone know tha t i am a manager in a different room, but i am not saying this because thay are our competitor because they really are not.
I’ve really been hoping that Benny’s would take off but everytime I have gone the action seems to be worse. I have heard that Rick is now gone,hopefully that may have been the issue and things will pick up. I’ve never had a major problem any time that I’ve been there. However, I have been going less and less because they never seem to be able to keep a game running. In fact I’ve never seen more than two tables running since they first opened.
With that said, I do know that a lot of old issues are that old. The original operators are gone (Rick & Eric). They also put an end to letting players do things like chop when heads up. This was a particularly bad practice and they did to my knowledge put an end to it. This was before the current operators who I do not know.
I do know that they are expanding into the old skewers place and they supposedly have a liquor license. Hopefully that will change things.
There are people running it that I have not seen before so I am keeping an eye out to see if things pick up.
I am a very frequent player at benny’s, and I will tell you that the issues with overraking and the rudeness of the old owner have been resolved, rick no longer owns a major stake in this place and the cafe and liquor license are just about set to open. Benny’s compared to snookers is alot smaller but you get a far better quality game than at snookers. they have a $1.00 rebuy tourney on wednesday’s that brings in 80-100 players the payouts for first in those tourneys are at or over $500. the facility is clean and the dealers are good (you sometimes get your occasional green horn)i would highly recommend going to benny’s. and in case ur wondering i don’t work there im not an owner or have any interest in this company, im simply a player.
I live right around the corner from this place and I wont ever go in again after whats happened the past few times. My pots were over raked and they show so much favortism to certain players. Haven’t been there on a Wednesday BUT the other tournament’s I’ve seen- waste of time. Today I played @ Snookers which had a $10 tournament with re-buys and 1st place ended up bein over a grand! I also dont see how they are going to have alcohol since Skewers didn’t serve alcohol and that’s the place they bought.
Play there a few weeks ago. Very borin. Will never go back. Bad delers. Heard place is going to close Heard Mcool’s is opening next month. Used to play there and they had huge crowds. Great cash games. Anybody herd anything about that.
